Islamabad: The study of the Chinese language is experiencing significant growth in Pakistan, particularly within its universities, where structured teaching programs have become well established. This trend was highlighted by President Asif Ali Zardari in a message issued on United Nations Chinese Language Day.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari emphasized that learning Chinese is not limited to academic environments but extends to specialized training for personnel in public service roles that require coordination with Chinese nationals. This expansion aims to facilitate clearer communication and enhance working arrangements.

The President noted that for many young Pakistanis, learning Chinese is increasingly associated with opportunities in education, trade, and technical cooperation. He stressed that it equips individuals with a practical skill that aids in engaging with Chinese companies, accessing scholarship programs, and participating in joint projects across various sectors.

President Zardari concluded by advocating for a continued focus on accessible and structured language education, which addresses practical needs and strengthens cooperation between Pakistan and China.
