Islamabad, In a significant political move, Raja Zulqarnain Bhatti Advocate, former Nazim of Union Council Sahang and former chairman of Union Council Jhangi, has departed from the Muslim League-N to join the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). The announcement came during a meeting with Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf, who was on a visit to Gujar Khan. The meeting also saw the presence of Khurram Parvez Raja.
According to a news release by National Assembly of Pakistan. The discussions centered around the political dynamics of the constituency. Expressing complete trust in the leadership of Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Bhatti and his community made their decision public. In response, the Speaker welcomed the ex-League leader into the PPP fold, emphasizing the party’s commitment to the public’s concerns. He further highlighted the consistent efforts by various political entities to sideline the PPP but stated their failure in doing so. The Speaker remarked that whenever the PPP came into power, it prioritized public welfare and employment. Reiterating the party’s ethos, he declared the PPP as a representative of the poor and the middle class, dedicated to their betterment.
