Islamabad, May 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Dr. Christian Turner, called on the Minister for Law and Justice, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar in Islamabad on Monday. The meeting discussed issues of mutual interest and further development of bilateral relations along with political and regional situation. The British High Commissioner congratulates Azam Nazeer Tarar on assuming office as Law Minister.

The Minister said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its bilateral relations with the United Kingdom. He said that there are more than 1.5 million Pakistanis living in the UK who are playing an important role in the development of the country. Speaking on the occasion, Christian Turner said that Pak-UK diplomatic relations have completed 75 years which will be further strengthened in the future.

Meanwhile, Head of Public Policy of META (Facebook, WhatsApp’s parent company) for South Asia Sarim Aziz also met the Minister for Law and Justice and discussed the development of technology in Pakistan. He said that Pakistan is one of the most important countries in the region and there are bright prospects for further development in the field of technology. He said that digital sector of Pakistan has a huge potential. The Law Minister assured the META representative of all possible cooperation for investment in Pakistan.
