Lahore Qalandars Triumph Over Karachi Kings with a Convincing 65-Run Victory


Karachi: Lahore Qalandars emerged victorious over Karachi Kings by a margin of 65 runs in the sixth match of the Pakistan Super League 2025, held in Karachi. The match, broadcasted live by PTV Sports HD, saw Lahore Qalandars demonstrate superior performance both with the bat and ball.



The match commenced with Lahore Qalandars’ captain, Shaheen Shah Afridi, winning the toss and opting to bat first. The team set a formidable total of 201 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Despite losing two quick wickets at the score of 25, Fakhar Zaman and Daryl Mitchell stabilized the innings with a significant 125-run partnership for the third wicket.



Fakhar Zaman emerged as the top scorer for Lahore, amassing 76 runs off 47 deliveries, including six fours and five sixes. His partner, Daryl Mitchell, contributed 75 runs off 41 balls, hitting nine fours and two sixes. Karachi Kings’ Hasan Ali was the standout bowler for his team, claiming four wickets.



In response, Karachi Kings struggled to chase the target of 202, ultimately being bowled out for 136 runs in 19.1 overs. Khushdil Shah was the top scorer for Karachi with 39 runs, while Hasan Ali added 27 runs to the total. Lahore Qalandars’ bowlers, led by Shaheen Shah Afridi and Rishad Hossain, each took three wickets, with Sikandar Raza taking two.



Lahore Qalandars’ comprehensive victory in this encounter further solidifies their position in the tournament.
