Lahore: The 14th death anniversary of the celebrated comedian and actor Ayub Akhtar, widely recognized as Babu Baral, is being observed today.
Babu Baral embarked on his journey in the entertainment industry from Gujranwala in 1982. His early work soon led him to the open-air theater at Bagh e Jinnah in Lahore, where he gained significant recognition.
Throughout his illustrious career, Babu Baral made notable contributions to stage, television, and film. His work earned him prestigious awards including the “Tamgha-e-Imtiaz” and “Sitara-e-Imtiaz.”
Babu Baral passed away in Lahore in 2011, leaving behind a legacy celebrated by many in the entertainment industry. His work continues to inspire comedians and actors across Pakistan.
