Lahore, In a significant move towards the welfare of police personnel, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has sanctioned the release of over 11.5 lakh rupees for the health welfare of children of police employees in various districts, including Lahore. This funding is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to support the health and well-being of its personnel’s families.
According to Punjab Police, the allocated funds are aimed at assisting with the medical expenses of the children of police employees who are facing serious health challenges. Muhammad Talha, son of constable Rehan Naveed, received 03 lakh rupees for heart disease treatment. Similarly, ASI Habib-ur-Rehman’s daughter, Fiza Imaan, was granted 03 lakh rupees for medical expenses, and ASI Muhammad Idrees received two and a half lakh rupees for his daughter Wajiha Idrees’s cancer treatment.
Further assistance was provided to Head Constable Aslam Pervez, who received Rs 70,000 for his son Osama Aslam’s accident treatment. Constables Javed Ilyas and Muhammad Afzal were each granted 70 thousand rupees for their children’s treatment. Additionally, Orderly Faisal Nadeem received 70 thousand rupees for his son’s treatment, and Stenographer Muhammad Fareed was given 30 thousand rupees for his son’s medical needs.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the importance of continuing priority measures for the health welfare of police employees’ families, using the Police Welfare Fund. He encouraged Regional Police Officers (RPOs) and District Police Officers (DPOs) to actively submit cases related to the health welfare of their subordinates to the Central Police Office with the necessary documentation.
This initiative by the Punjab Police under Dr. Anwar’s leadership reflects a commitment to not only the professional responsibilities of the police force but also to the personal and family welfare of its employees, reinforcing a supportive and compassionate approach to personnel management.
