Lahore Blues Clinch National T20 Cup Title with Dominant Performance

Lahore: Lahore Blues emerged victorious in the National T20 Cup, securing the title after a commanding nine-wicket win against Peshawar Region in the final match.

Peshawar, batting first, posted a total of 110 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted overs. Captain Iftikhar Ahmed contributed 34 runs, while Muhammad Zulkifal added 32 runs to the scoreboard.

For Lahore Blues, Salman Mirza delivered an impressive performance, taking four wickets. Muhammad Irfan supported with two wickets, restricting Peshawar to a modest total.

In response, Lahore Blues efficiently chased down the target in just 16 overs, losing only one wicket. Umar Siddique led the charge with an innings of 64 runs, while Junaid Ali added 30 runs to secure the victory.

This triumph marks Lahore Blues’ fifth title in the competition, a testament to their consistent performance over the years.

Sahibzada Farhan of Peshawar made a notable impact throughout the tournament, amassing 605 runs in seven innings, including three centuries and two half-centuries. His exceptional performance earned him the title of the best player of the tournament.
