Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Adopts Resolution in Solidarity with Kashmir on Black Day


Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly passed a unanimous resolution today, declaring solidarity with the people of Kashmir in observance of Black Day. This resolution marks a continued commitment to support the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination and addresses ongoing human rights concerns.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the resolution, introduced by Law Minister Aftab Alam, calls on the United Nations to acknowledge and address the severe human rights abuses in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. It also demands the restoration of Kashmir’s special status and upholds the right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination, aligning with United Nations resolutions.



Furthermore, the resolution appeals to the international community to actively engage in finding a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir conflict in accordance with international commitments and UN directives.
