Peshawar, A significant meeting was held under the chairmanship of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Agriculture Minister Major Retired Sajjad Barkwal, assessing the advancement of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Security Support Project (kp fssp) and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Investment and Institutional Support Project (kp riisp). These initiatives aim to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability in the region.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the briefing focused on the progress of projects targeting seven flood-affected districts, emphasizing climate resilience and agricultural training. Project directors outlined efforts to provide training on quality seed storage and kitchen gardening, particularly to women farmers. A digital platform is being developed to facilitate the registration and training of farmers, which will also ensure the distribution of certified seeds and other agricultural inputs to enhance local food security.
