Kashmiris’ Resolve Unshaken Amid Indian Presence: JI Leader

Islamabad: The leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Mushtaq Khan, asserted that Kashmiris remain steadfast in their resistance against India’s long-standing occupation. Despite India’s significant military presence in the region, the struggle for self-determination continues unabated.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Dr. Khan addressed these points during an iftar event organized by Jamaat-e-Islami AJK for Kashmiri journalists. Drawing parallels with Hamas’s resistance in Gaza, he highlighted the resilience of the Kashmiri people against what he termed as Brahmanical imperialism.

Dr. Khan elaborated that India has deployed one million personnel in Jammu and Kashmir with the intention of stifling the Kashmiri resistance. However, he noted that the spirit of the Kashmiri people remains unbroken, as they persist in their struggle with unwavering resolve.

He also criticized the Indian government’s actions since the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status on August 5, 2019. Dr. Khan accused the Modi administration of attempting to alter the region’s demographic makeup, asserting that these measures are unacceptable and misleading to the international community.
