Kashmiri Diaspora Calls on Canada to Mediate Kashmir Dispute

Ottawa: Canada-based Kashmiri expatriate, Syed Kausar Hussain Shah, has called on the Canadian government to take an active role in assisting with the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir conflict. He emphasized the significance of such involvement for achieving long-term peace in the region.

The appeal was made during a reception honoring Canadian Member of Parliament George Chahal. The event witnessed the participation of numerous overseas Pakistanis, including members of the Kashmiri community.

Syed Kausar Hussain Shah expressed optimism that MP George Chahal would persist in his advocacy for the Kashmir issue. He also highlighted the importance of addressing challenges faced by the South Asian community in Canada.

In his address, MP George Chahal expressed gratitude for the warm reception. He reiterated his dedication to public service, stressing that resolving community issues remains a top priority.

Chahal highlighted his previous efforts in raising the Kashmir issue within the Canadian Parliament and other arenas. He pledged continued support, assuring attendees that his efforts are based on actionable commitments rather than mere rhetoric. He also promised that the concerns of newcomers and immigrants would be prioritized.
