Islamabad: Pakistan’s Minister for Maritime Affairs, Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, emphasized the country’s potential to serve as a maritime bridge connecting Central and South Asia, aiming to unlock new trade routes and enhance regional connectivity.
In a meeting with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, the minister highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to becoming a regional trade hub. Discussions focused on the benefits Kazakhstan could reap from utilizing Pakistani ports.
Efforts are underway to ensure environmentally sustainable shipping practices and bolster coastal security, according to the minister. Both parties showed enthusiasm for strengthening maritime cooperation and agreed on pursuing joint projects.
