Muzaffarabad, The second phase of the Kashmir Solidarity march, organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, successfully concluded in Muzaffarabad after beginning its journey from the Jhelum Valley. This significant event saw the participation of hundreds, including women, elders, and youth, who marched to express their support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the march aimed to draw international attention to the Kashmir dispute and the ongoing human rights violations in the region. Participants, brandishing flags of Pakistan and Kashmir, traversed through challenging weather conditions, passing landmarks such as Chakothi, Chinari, Hattian Bala, Saran Chattian, Ghari Dupatta, and Thotta, to reach their destination.
Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat, addressed the crowd, emphasizing the march’s objective to underscore the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination and to call upon the United Nations to uphold its promises to the Kashmiri people. Ghazali highlighted the urgent need for the UN to address the war crimes committed by Indian troops in IIOJK.
The leadership of the march included prominent figures such as Pasban-e-Hurriyat Vice Chairman Usman Ali Hashim, and activists Mehnaz Qureshi, Riffat Farooq, Sajida Usman, among others. Their collective effort and determination underscored a deep-seated resolve to support the Kashmiri cause and to continue advocating for their right to self-determination, reflecting the solidarity and commitment of the participants towards the Kashmiri people.
This march represents a poignant reminder of the ongoing struggle in Kashmir and serves as a call to the international community to take notice and act on the longstanding dispute and the plight of its people.
