KARACHI: Under the direction of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, significant progress is being made in road construction, repair, rehabilitation, and cleaning across the city. Teams from the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) are working tirelessly to enhance transportation facilities for the public. Recent efforts include the reconstruction of Mission Road and the initiation of road washing and cleaning operations to improve the commuting environment.
According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Mission Road is a crucial thoroughfare used by thousands daily, notably those heading to Civil Hospital Karachi and the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Institute of Trauma. The cleaning of this road post-reconstruction is aimed at enhancing public convenience and maintaining an urban environment conducive to health.
Meanwhile, the Chakor Nala Expressway has already seen substantial usage by night commuters, even as construction continues, indicating its anticipated benefits. The expressway is expected to significantly ease travel for nearby residents and daily commuters upon completion.
KMC teams are also actively working on Tori Bangash Road, with operations extending into the evening. This reflects the corporation’s commitment to providing improved municipal services. Development projects are ongoing in various parts of the city as part of the effort to upgrade Karachi’s urban infrastructure.
These initiatives, spearheaded by Mayor Wahab, are a key element of Karachi’s development strategy. The ongoing construction, rehabilitation, and cleaning activities are intended to directly benefit the city’s residents by enhancing road infrastructure and ensuring a cleaner environment. The developments are part of a broader commitment to transforming Karachi into a more modern urban space, fostering new opportunities for growth and improvement.
