Karachi: Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, expressed unwavering support for the Kashmiri freedom movement during a meeting with members of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, marking the anniversary of Burhan Wani’s martyrdom.
According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Mayor Wahab highlighted the Pakistan Peoples Party’s historical advocacy for oppressed nations, including Kashmir, and underscored the critical importance of international recognition and support for Kashmir’s right to self-determination. The meeting, which included prominent Kashmiri leaders and Hurriyat representatives, also involved discussions on documenting the Kashmir struggle to educate future generations. Wahab called on the global community to intensify efforts to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with UN resolutions, emphasizing the role of such advocacy in preserving regional and global peace.
