Karachi: Karachi Kings secured a thrilling victory over Multan Sultans by four wickets in the third match of the Pakistan Super League 2025 at the National Stadium. The match, which was broadcast live by PTV Sports HD, saw Karachi successfully chase down a target of 235 runs in 19.2 overs.
Karachi Kings’ captain David Warner won the toss and opted to field first. The decision seemed calculated as Multan Sultans posted a formidable total of 234 runs for the loss of three wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Multan’s innings was highlighted by Mohammad Rizwan’s stellar performance, as he became the first player to score a century in the 2025 edition of the league. Rizwan remained unbeaten on 105 runs off 63 balls, with a display of nine fours and five sixes. Contributions from Michael Bracewell, who scored 44 not out, and Kamran Ghulam, with 36 runs, bolstered the team’s total.
Karachi Kings’ bowlers managed to claim three wickets, with Hasan Ali, Abbas Afridi, and Khushdil Shah each taking a wicket.
In response, Karachi Kings chased the target with determination. James Vince led the charge with an impressive knock of 101 runs, featuring 14 fours and four sixes. Khushdil Shah also played a crucial role, adding 60 runs, which included four sixes and five fours.
Akif Javed was the standout bowler for Multan Sultans, taking three wickets during Karachi’s innings.
