9th Anniversary of Rajanpur Operation Honors Fallen Police Officers

Rajanpur: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, commemorated the ninth anniversary of the Rajanpur Kacha Operation by honoring the police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. He emphasized the enduring respect owed to these individuals who sacrificed themselves during the operation against the Chhotu Gang.

On this day in 2016, six members of the Punjab Police were killed during a confrontation with the Chhotu Gang in the Kacha area of Rajanpur. The fallen officers included Sub-Inspector Hanif Ghouri, Head Constable Muhammad Ajmal, and Constables Ubaid Ullah Faheem, Muhammad Tariq, Aman Ullah, and Muhammad Shakeel. These officers were part of an ongoing operation aimed at curbing criminal activities in the region.

Dr. Anwar expressed the Punjab Police’s solidarity with the families of the deceased, acknowledging their significant loss and the bravery of their loved ones. This annual commemoration serves as a reminder of the risks undertaken by law enforcement officers in the pursuit of public safety and justice.

The Punjab Police spokesperson reiterated the commitment to honor and remember the sacrifices made by these officers, highlighting the importance of their role in maintaining law and order.
