Karachi Kings Triumph Over Multan Sultans in High-Scoring PSL Match

KARACHI: Karachi Kings secured a four-wicket victory against Multan Sultans in a high-scoring encounter in the third match of the Pakistan Super League 2025 at the National Stadium. The match was broadcast live by PTV Sports HD.

Karachi Kings captain David Warner opted to field first after winning the toss. Multan Sultans, batting first, posted an imposing total of 234 runs for the loss of three wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Mohammad Rizwan led the scoring for Multan Sultans, registering the first century of the current PSL season. Rizwan’s unbeaten 105 came off 63 balls, including nine fours and five sixes. He was supported by Michael Bracewell, who scored 44 not out, and Kamran Ghulam, who contributed 36 runs to the total.

On the bowling front for Karachi Kings, Hasan Ali, Abbas Afridi, and Khushdil Shah each claimed a wicket.

In their chase, Karachi Kings reached the target of 235 runs with the loss of six wickets in 19.2 overs. James Vince was the standout performer, scoring 101 runs, which included 14 fours and four sixes. Khusdil Shah also added a crucial 60 runs to the tally, hitting four sixes and five fours.

For Multan Sultans, Akif Javed was the most successful bowler, taking three wickets.

James Vince’s performance earned him the Player of the Match accolade.
