Karachi, In a significant meeting aimed at deliberating on the nation’s pressing issues, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori met with senior politician Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain in Lahore. The session focused on the overarching political and economic challenges facing Pakistan, exploring avenues for improvement and emphasizing the critical need for mutual support and collaboration post-elections. Senior leaders from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, including Syed Mustafa Kamal and Dr. Farooq Sattar, were also in attendance, highlighting the meeting’s importance in fostering political dialogue and unity.

Islamabad, In an innovative approach to community policing, Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan conducted an online ‘khuli katcheri’ (open forum) on Friday, providing a platform for direct communication between the city’s residents and its police leadership. The session, facilitated by a public relations officer, allowed citizens to voice their concerns directly to the ICCPO via phone calls.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan engaged with the public from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, addressing their queries and directing relevant officers towards immediate solutions. The majority of the issues raised pertained to personal matters and police station-related concerns. The ICCPO emphasized the police’s commitment to promptly resolving public issues and highlighted the initiative’s role in fostering a closer relationship between the police force and the community.



Participants from across Islamabad presented their suggestions and reported problems ranging from personal matters and investigation issues to the expeditious resolution of cases. Dr. Khan informed participants that the capital had seen a notable decline in crime rates, attributing this success to effective policing strategies, the diligent efforts of police personnel, and rapid responses to emergency calls made to the “Pucar-15” helpline.



The event underscores the Capital Police’s dedication to enhancing public safety and trust through proactive engagement and collaboration with the community. Citizens were also encouraged to contribute to their city’s security by reporting any suspicious activities to the Pucar-15 helpline, reinforcing the shared responsibility for maintaining peace and safety in Islamabad.
