Islamabad, May 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):In a letter to the international human rights organizations, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira has appealed the Amnesty International, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and Human Rights Watch to take practical steps to pressurize India to reverse its illegal framing of charges against Kashmiri Hurriyat Leader. He said that the Indian authorities have subjected Yasin Malik in a fake trial where he has been illegally convicted of the charges not due upon him.

The Adviser said the recent framing of charges against Yasin Malik on baseless grounds is a grave human rights violation and against norms of human rights. The Hurriyat Leader Yasin Malik has been continuously struggling for long against Indian atrocities such as extra judicial killings, raping of women etc. in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir IIOJK, he said. Qamar Zaman Kaira said that each state department of so-called secular India was today following the unfortunate ideology of RSS in form of Hindutva.

He said, Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan strongly condemns these grave violations of human rights in IIOJK and urges the international community and International Human Rights Organizations especially Amnesty International, United Nations High Commissioner on Human Rights and Human Rights Watch to take practical steps to pressurize India to reverse the illegal framing of charges against Yasin Malik. He also stressed the need for highlighting the subject matter on international forums to provide justice to the innocent Kashmiri leader and to sensitize the international community against the blatant violations of human rights in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir IIOJK.
