Islamabad: Islamabad Police’s Annual Summer Camp 2026 concluded with a closing ceremony at the Police Lines Headquarters, emphasizing the department’s commitment to community policing and youth engagement. According to Islamabad Capital Police, the initiative, directed by Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, is part of broader efforts to enhance public engagement and trust.
The ceremony featured Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarters Sajid Ikram, police officials, camp participants, and their parents. In his address, DSP Ikram highlighted the camp’s role in community policing, detailing training provided in various activities such as horse riding, swimming, and self-defense, aimed at children aged 4 to 12. The initiative seeks to foster discipline, self-confidence, and life skills among participants.
Parents lauded the camp as a significant effort in fostering character and confidence in children. DSP Ikram applauded the organizing team and reiterated the police’s ongoing commitment to educational and recreational programs for youth, aligning with the vision of IGP Rizvi to enhance community policing.
