Islamabad Police Launches Summer Camp 2026 for Community Engagement


Islamabad: The Islamabad Police has launched its annual Summer Camp 2026 at the Police Lines Headquarters, aiming to strengthen community relations and promote community policing. The initiative, led by Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, focuses on engaging children aged 4 to 12 in a variety of educational and physical activities.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, Assistant Inspector General of Police (Logistics) Abdul Haq Umrani officially inaugurated the camp, emphasizing the importance of community involvement. The summer camp, a longstanding tradition since 2002, is sustained by the strong trust citizens have in their police force. The program includes training by professional coaches in sports like football and golf, while also offering activities such as swimming, horse riding, martial arts, and more.



The camp also introduces children to essential skills in safety, first aid, and traffic regulations, aiming to enhance their physical and mental abilities. AIG Logistics highlighted that these activities are crucial for the children’s development, promoting competition and self-confidence.



Parents were assured of the safety measures in place and expressed their appreciation for the police’s efforts in organizing the camp.
