ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have ramped up their search and combing operations across the federal capital, checking over 328 individuals in a concerted effort to curb crime and crack down on criminal elements. The operations follow special directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the extensive search operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, with oversight from respective zonal SPs. The operations included checks on 175 households, 43 shops, 210 motorcycles, and 77 vehicles. As a result, 34 suspicious individuals and 12 motorcycles were taken to police stations for further verification.

SSP Operations Islamabad stated that the primary goal of these operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and enhance security across the city. The police continue to carry out indiscriminate actions against criminal activities, including land grabbing and drug dealing, in various areas throughout the district.

Residents are urged to report any suspicious activities to their nearest police station or contact the emergency helpline “Pucaar-15”.
