ISLAMABAD: In a significant breakthrough, the Islamabad Police apprehended two members of criminal gangs involved in a series of bike lifting and theft activities. The arrest led to the recovery of stolen motorbikes, a laptop, and weapons ammunition, according to a press release by the Islamabad Capital Police.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the Shams Colony and Aabpara police teams utilized both technical and human resources to capture the suspects, identified as Talal and Ejaz. The individuals had been wanted for their involvement in numerous criminal activities, and cases had already been registered against them. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
Muhammad Jawad Tariq, the Deputy Inspector General of Islamabad, emphasized that strict measures are being implemented to combat motorcycle theft and street robbery in the city. He noted a noticeable decline in such incidents in the federal capital as a result of these operations. Tariq urged officers to persist in their efforts to eradicate criminal elements and ensure that justice is served. He also called on citizens to support the police by reporting any suspicious activities or objects to the nearest police station or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.”
