Islamabad Police Intensify Search Operations, 364 Individuals Checked


ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police, under the directives of Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, have ramped up search and combing operations across the city, resulting in the thorough checking of 364 individuals. This effort is part of a broader strategy to curb crime and target criminal elements within the federal capital.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the recent operations were supervised by SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza with oversight from respective zonal SPs. These operations entailed checks on 149 households, 21 hotels, 49 shops, 183 motorcycles, and 53 vehicles. As a result, an Afghan national and 11 individuals deemed suspicious, along with 14 motorcycles, were taken to the police station for further verification. Additionally, arrests were made for illegal weapons possession, resulting in the recovery of two Kalashnikovs and a pistol with ammunition.



SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that these operations are crucial for tightening the security around criminal activities and enhancing overall safety in the city. He noted that similar operations are being conducted across various districts, targeting criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers without discrimination.
