ISLAMABAD: In an effort to curb crime in the federal capital, the Islamabad Police have ramped up their search and combing operations, resulting in the inspection of over 443 individuals, as well as numerous households, shops, hotels, motorcycles, and vehicles.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, with SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza overseeing the initiative and zonal SPs monitoring the activities. The comprehensive checks included 213 households, 66 shops, 25 hotels, 248 motorcycles, and 93 vehicles.

In addition to the routine checks, 16 suspicious individuals and 23 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification. Qazi Ali Raza stated that these operations aim to intensify security measures and apply pressure on criminal elements. The operations are part of a broader strategy to combat criminal activity, including actions against land grabbers and drug dealers, throughout the district.
