Islamabad Police Intensifies Security with Citywide Search Operations

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search operations across the capital, resulting in the thorough checking of over 187 individuals, as part of a broader effort to enhance security and curb criminal activities. These operations, initiated under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, also included checks of 94 households, 11 shops, 120 motorcycles, and 65 vehicles.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. During these activities, four suspicious individuals and 19 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification. The police also apprehended individuals in possession of illegal weapons, recovering two pistols of various calibers and ammunition.

SSP Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the purpose of these operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and enhance security across the city. He noted that such operations are being carried out in different areas throughout the district, as the Islamabad Police continue their indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
