ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police, under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has ramped up search and combing operations across the federal capital to address crime and target criminal elements. These operations led to the checking of 961 individuals, including the inspection of 291 households, 51 hotels, 72 shops, and various vehicles and motorcycles.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, these extensive operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. The operations resulted in the temporary detention of one Afghan national, 30 suspicious individuals, and 32 motorcycles for further verification. In addition, arrests were made related to drug trafficking activities.
SSP Operations Islamabad noted that the operations aim to tighten the noose around criminal elements and bolster security throughout the city. The police are conducting these operations in various parts of the district, continuing their action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
