Islamabad Police Intensifies Search Operations, Over 493 Individuals Checked

ISLAMABAD: In an effort to curb crime and crack down on criminal elements, the Islamabad Police, under the directive of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has ramped up search and combing operations across various areas of the federal capital. The operation resulted in the checking of over 493 individuals, as well as several households, vehicles, and businesses.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, these operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, with oversight from the respective zonal SPs. The operations involved checks on 206 households, six hotels, 52 shops, 188 motorcycles, and 88 vehicles throughout the city. Among those checked, 10 individuals and 10 motorcycles were deemed suspicious and were taken to the police station for further verification.

SSP Operations Islamabad commented on the operation’s objectives, emphasizing the intent to tighten the noose around criminal elements and enhance security across the city. The operations are part of ongoing efforts to address crime in various areas throughout the district, focusing on criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
