ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to enhance security and reduce crime, the Islamabad Police has conducted a series of comprehensive search and combing operations across the federal capital. These operations, carried out under the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, resulted in the checking of over 434 individuals, along with numerous households, shops, hotels, motorcycles, and vehicles.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and closely monitored by the respective zonal SPs. The extensive checks included 215 households, 54 shops, 24 hotels, 313 motorcycles, and 83 vehicles. As a result, 19 individuals and 28 motorcycles were deemed suspicious and subsequently taken to the police station for further verification.

Additionally, arrests were made concerning the possession of illegal weapons, with two pistols and accompanying ammunition being confiscated. SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the objective of these operations is to tighten control over criminal activities and enhance the overall security within the city. The police remain committed to conducting similar operations throughout the district, targeting criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
