ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to curb crime within the federal capital, the Islamabad Police conducted a series of expansive search operations, resulting in the scrutiny of over 529 individuals. These operations, initiated under the special directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aim to dismantle criminal networks and enhance urban security.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the oversight of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and were closely monitored by respective zonal SPs. The coordinated efforts involved checking 199 households, 75 shops, 31 hotels, 162 motorcycles, and 52 vehicles across various areas. As a result, 22 individuals were detained for further verification, along with 23 motorcycles and one vehicle. Additionally, two criminals were apprehended during these operations.

SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized the primary goal of these measures is to tighten security and intensify the crackdown on criminal activity throughout the city. Such operations are being deployed indiscriminately across different districts, targeting criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.

The Islamabad Police urges citizens to report any suspicious activities to their nearest police station or through the emergency helpline “Pucaar-15.”
