Islamabad: In a bid to curb criminal activity and tighten security, the Islamabad Police conducted extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, checking more than 528 individuals. The operations, initiated under the directive of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at cracking down on criminal elements in the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, these operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, with respective zonal SPs monitoring the activities. The operations involved thorough checks of 207 households, 32 shops, 227 motorcycles, and 69 vehicles. Additionally, 24 suspicious individuals and 21 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification.
The police also reported the arrest of individuals found in possession of illegal weapons, recovering two rifles and ammunition. SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that these operations aim to enhance security across the city and target criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers. The police intend to continue these operations in various areas of the district as part of their ongoing efforts to maintain law and order.
