Islamabad Police Intensifies Search Operations, Checks Over 431 Individuals


ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to curb crime and crack down on criminal elements, the Islamabad Police have heightened search and combing operations across the federal capital, resulting in the thorough checking of over 431 individuals. This initiative follows special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the comprehensive operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, with zonal SPs closely monitoring the activities. The operations involved extensive checks of 188 households, 10 hotels, 43 shops, 213 motorcycles, and 43 vehicles throughout the city.



As a result of these efforts, 24 suspicious individuals and 33 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification. In addition, an individual implicated in drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons was apprehended. Authorities recovered 36 bottles of alcohol and two pistols with ammunition from the suspect’s possession.



SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that the primary goal of these search operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and bolster security across the city. The police’s ongoing actions against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers are part of a broader strategy to ensure public safety and order in the district.
