Islamabad Police Arrest 16 in Crime Crackdown, Seize Drugs and Weapons


ISLAMABAD: In a major law enforcement operation, Islamabad Police have apprehended 16 individuals linked to criminal activities and seized a significant amount of drugs and weapons. According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made as part of ongoing efforts to combat crime in the federal capital, resulting in the recovery of 187 grams of ice, 46 bottles of liquor, six pistols, and accompanying ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused, while investigations continue.



Additionally, a targeted campaign aimed at apprehending proclaimed offenders and absconders led to the arrest of six more individuals. This initiative follows directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, emphasizing the police’s commitment to maintaining peace and security across the city.



SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza expressed the department’s dedication to safeguarding residents’ lives and property, reiterating that no disruptions to public peace will be tolerated. The police have also called on citizens to report any suspicious activities immediately through the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline, underscoring the importance of community cooperation in eradicating crime.
