ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to curb crime and tighten security across the federal capital, the Islamabad Police conducted extensive search and combing operations, resulting in the checking of over 431 individuals. These operations, initiated under the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, are part of a broader crackdown on criminal activities.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the search operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by respective zonal SPs. The operations involved thorough checks of 236 households, 87 shops, 21 hotels, 211 motorcycles, and 99 vehicles. During these operations, 16 suspicious individuals, along with 28 motorcycles and two cars, were taken to police stations for further verification.

Additionally, the Islamabad Police arrested individuals involved in the possession of illegal weapons, recovering two pistols of various calibers and ammunition. SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that these operations aim to enhance security and apply pressure on criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers throughout the district.
