ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police, under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, have ramped up search and combing operations across the federal capital in a bid to reduce crime and target criminal elements. The efforts have resulted in the thorough checking of more than 350 individuals, amidst a sweeping crackdown that spans multiple areas of the city.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, these extensive operations were conducted under the direction of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. The searches extended to 143 households, 35 shops, 17 hotels, 583 motorcycles, and 75 vehicles. The operations also led to the detention of 12 suspicious individuals and 30 motorcycles for further verification. In addition, arrests were made for illegal weapon possession, resulting in the seizure of two pistols and ammunition.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the main goal of these operations is to dismantle criminal networks and bolster citywide security. He reiterated that such operations are ongoing in various districts, with the Islamabad Police maintaining a steadfast approach against criminal elements, including land grabbers and drug dealers.
