Islamabad Police Initiates Open Courts to Resolve Citizens’ Grievances

Islamabad: Islamabad Police have launched a series of open courts to address and resolve citizens’ grievances efficiently, in line with directives from Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and IGP Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry. According to Islamabad Capital Police, the initiative underscores the commitment to provide timely relief and ensure that complaints are handled with diligence.

DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem and SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza spearheaded these efforts by holding open courts at their offices. During these sessions, they listened to citizens’ complaints and instructed relevant officers to resolve issues expediently and fairly. The open courts are designed to facilitate direct communication between the police and the public, allowing citizens to voice their concerns without any barriers or the need for recommendations.

DIG Islamabad highlighted the importance of resolving issues promptly, stating that this is a primary responsibility of the police force. Citizens can also report grievances through the “IGP Complaint Cell at-1715,” ensuring multiple avenues for redressal. Furthermore, open courts are being organized across the district, with zonal SPs conducting similar sessions to enhance public engagement and ensure effective grievance handling.

SSP Operations emphasized the police’s zero-tolerance stance on violence against women and children. He reiterated the commitment to uphold the rule of law, protect citizens’ lives and property, and ensure that all applications are processed on merit. The open courts are part of a broader strategy to offer maximum relief to citizens, reinforcing the police’s role in safeguarding the community’s honor and dignity.
