Islamabad Police Hosts Open Courts to Expedite Citizens’ Complaints Resolution

Islamabad: The Islamabad Police has initiated a series of open courts to expedite the resolution of citizens’ grievances, following directives from Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and IGP Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry. The initiative aims to ensure timely relief and effective redressal of public complaints.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad, Ali Waseem, and the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Qazi Ali Raza, conducted open courts at their respective offices. During these sessions, they listened to citizens’ complaints and instructed officers to address these issues promptly. The process is part of a broader initiative to enhance direct communication between the police and the public.

The DIG emphasized that resolving citizens’ issues swiftly and on merit remains a top priority for the Islamabad Police. The public is encouraged to attend these open courts without hesitation or the need for recommendations. Additionally, complaints can be registered through the “IGP Complaint Cell at-1715.”

These open courts are being held across the district, with zonal SPs also conducting similar sessions. The SSP Operations highlighted the police’s zero-tolerance policy towards violence against women and children, reiterating the commitment to uphold the rule of law and protect citizens’ lives, property, and dignity.
