ISLAMABAD: In an effort to bolster security, the Islamabad Police have intensified their measures within the Diplomatic Enclave and other high-security zones of the federal capital. This initiative follows specific directives issued by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq has mandated comprehensive directives for officers to ensure robust security protocols. The instructions include maintaining a strong presence in the field, overseeing security deployments, monitoring checking procedures, and continually assessing personnel performance.

Officers and officials are required to perform their duties equipped with protective gear such as bulletproof jackets and helmets. Personnel stationed at sensitive locations are expected to be fully armed, vigilant, and ready to respond to emergencies. Enhanced security checks at entry and exit points in the Diplomatic Enclave and Red Zone are also emphasized, with stringent verification processes using a modern tablet-based system.

Special attention is directed towards identifying suspicious individuals, vehicles, and movements, with a zero-tolerance policy for negligence or complacency. DIG Security Farooq reiterated the priority of safeguarding foreign embassies, key government installations, diplomatic personnel, and citizens’ lives and property.

The Islamabad Police remain committed to utilizing all resources to maintain law and order, ensuring a secure environment across the federal capital while staying alert and operational.
