Islamabad Police Arrests 23 Suspected Criminals, Seizes Weapons and Drugs


Islamabad: In a significant operation against crime in the federal capital, the Islamabad Police have arrested 23 individuals allegedly involved in criminal activities, recovering drugs and various weapons, including a Kalashnikov and six pistols. The arrests are part of an ongoing crackdown to ensure peace and security in the city.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, seven of those arrested were apprehended for their involvement in different criminal activities. The police teams seized weapons and ammunition from these suspects, who now face charges as investigations continue. In addition, a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders resulted in the arrest of another 16 individuals.



The operation is being conducted under the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The police are committed to maintaining law and order and protecting the residents of Islamabad, according to SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities promptly to aid in effective crime prevention efforts.
