Islamabad Police DIG Operations Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari Suspends Police Station Officers for Poor Performance

Islamabad, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Operations Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari made surprise visits to Sumbal and Bhara Kahu police stations last night, resulting in the suspension of the officers in charge due to poor performance. He also sought explanations from their Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), emphasizing the need for improved public service delivery.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the DIG Operations reviewed police station records and interacted with detained suspects during his visits. He issued instructions to ensure that all Station House Officers (SHOs) are available to citizens 24/7, with immediate action taken on complaints at any time. Bukhari also emphasized the importance of safety for police personnel and instructed officers to use protective gear in the field.

The DIG Operations visited Bhara Kahu Market to engage with local citizens, asking for their feedback on police performance. He assured them that the protection of citizens is the police’s primary responsibility and that his office would remain open to anyone with complaints. Bukhari reiterated that there would be no compromise on protecting the lives and property of citizens, urging strict legal action against professional beggars with no leniency towards them.

During the visit, citizens appreciated the DIG Operations’ initiative and his commitment to improving police services. The swift action and engagement with the community indicate a focus on accountability and public safety within the Islamabad Police.
