ISLAMABAD: Ten individuals involved in various criminal activities have been arrested by the Islamabad Police, leading to the recovery of drugs and weapons, officials announced. The arrests were made by police teams from the Tarnol, Khanna, Women, and Nilore police stations, and are part of ongoing efforts to combat crime in the federal capital.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operation resulted in the apprehension of five suspects who were found with 1,050 grams of heroin, 360 grams of crystal meth, two pistols with ammunition, and a dagger. Legal cases have been filed against the suspects, and investigations are in progress. In parallel, a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders led to the arrest of an additional five individuals.
The actions are in line with directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as the police intensify their crackdown on criminal activity to maintain peace in the city. Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police’s commitment to safeguarding residents’ lives and property, stating that no disruption to public peace will be tolerated.
Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to their local police station or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to support crime eradication efforts through collaboration between the police and the community.
