ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, examining over 809 individuals as part of efforts to curb crime. The operations, initiated under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aim to crack down on criminal activities and enhance security in the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by zonal SPs. The search operations covered 342 households, 35 hotels, 53 shops, 286 motorcycles, and 90 vehicles. As a result, one Afghan national, 33 suspicious individuals, and 22 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification. Additionally, arrests were made in connection with drug trafficking.
SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that the goal of these operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and improve security across the city. Such initiatives are being conducted in various areas throughout the district as the police continue their indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
