ISLAMABAD: In an effort to curb crime and increase security, the Islamabad Police carried out extensive search and combing operations throughout the federal capital, resulting in the checking of over 406 individuals. The initiative follows special directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aiming to crack down on criminal elements in the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Security Operations Islamabad, Suleman Zaffar, with oversight from the respective zonal SPs. The comprehensive checks included 191 households, 23 hotels, 78 shops, 190 motorcycles, and 81 vehicles. Additionally, nine individuals and 15 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification.
SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized the importance of these operations in tightening the grip on criminal elements and boosting security across the city. The police are conducting these operations in various areas, continuing their action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
