PM Shehbaz Commits to Intensified Efforts for a Polio-Free Pakistan


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed his commitment to making Pakistan polio-free, emphasizing its status as a top national priority. During a meeting with the Polio Oversight Board’s seven-member delegation in the capital, the Prime Minister urged all stakeholders to intensify their collective efforts to eradicate the disease.



According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif expressed gratitude to development partners for their continued cooperation in combating polio. He stressed the government’s determination to protect future generations from the crippling disease, directing authorities to implement a focused strategy in polio hotspots, particularly in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.



The Polio Oversight Board delegation acknowledged the government’s effective measures and progress towards achieving a polio-free Pakistan.
