ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested 34 individuals suspected of involvement in criminal activities and confiscated drugs, knives, and firearms, according to a recent press release. The operation, part of a broader effort to maintain order in the city, resulted in the recovery of 726 grams of drugs, four knives, and 23 pistols with ammunition.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests included 26 individuals charged with various criminal acts, with cases now registered against them. The police are continuing their investigations. Additionally, a campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders led to the arrest of eight more individuals.

The operations were conducted under the guidance of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of an ongoing initiative to combat crime and ensure peace in the federal capital. SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, emphasized the police force’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of residents, stating that disrupting public peace will not be tolerated.

The Islamabad Police have also encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activity to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” highlighting the importance of community cooperation in crime prevention efforts.
