ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has issued directives to enhance security, crime control, and traffic management across the federal capital. These directives came during a meeting at the Central Police Office, attended by all DIGs, AIGs, SSPs, and other senior police officers.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting included a comprehensive review of the law and order situation, security arrangements, crime prevention efforts, ongoing operations against criminal elements, and traffic management. IGP Rizvi instructed officers to utilize all resources to combat crime and maintain law and order, with a focus on intensifying operations against criminals, drug traffickers, and land grabbers.

Security arrangements for public and private installations, diplomatic missions, and places of worship were also reviewed, with directives to strengthen these areas. The patrolling system is to remain fully operational to ensure a rapid response to incidents. Additionally, IGP Rizvi emphasized the improvement of traffic management to facilitate smooth traffic flow, enforce lane discipline, and remove encroachments.

Public service, transparency, and merit were highlighted as top priorities, with a call for officers to uphold integrity and professionalism. The IGP also stated that outstanding performance would be recognized, while negligence or misconduct would result in disciplinary action.
