ISLAMABAD: In a series of operations across the capital, Islamabad police have apprehended 29 individuals suspected of involvement in criminal activities, along with the recovery of drugs and firearms.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams from various police stations, including Aabpara, Ramna, Golra, Tarnol, Industrial Area, Sabzi Mandi, Lohi Bher, and Shahzad Town, were instrumental in arresting nine individuals. These operations led to the confiscation of 1,115 grams of hashish, 1,155 grams of Ice, and three pistols with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects as investigations proceed.
In a related effort targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams succeeded in detaining an additional 20 individuals. This initiative forms part of a broader crackdown on crime under the directive of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aiming to maintain peace and safety in the capital.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the commitment of the Islamabad Police to safeguarding the lives and property of its citizens, emphasizing that no disturbances to public peace will be tolerated. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to foster collaboration in eradicating crime.
