Islamabad: The Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan has announced that no judicial work will be conducted at the Principal Seat in Islamabad on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, due to the closure of the Red Zone and anticipated difficulties for lawyers, litigants, and court officials.
According to Press Information Department, this decision was made by the Hon’ble Chief Justice under the authority of Rule 5 of Order II of the Supreme Court Rules, 2025. Consequently, the cause list for the day has been cancelled, although all court officers and staff have been instructed to conduct their duties from home and remain within their respective stations. The court’s four Branch Registries will continue to operate as usual, managing both judicial and administrative tasks.
