ISLAMABAD: In a series of operations, the Islamabad Police have arrested 25 individuals on charges of various criminal activities, including drug possession and illegal weaponry. The arrests led to the recovery of a substantial amount of drugs and firearms, as law enforcement intensifies efforts to curb crime in the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, during their operations, 21 suspects were apprehended for involvement in criminal activities. The police seized 1,151 grams of the drug known as ice, four bottles of liquor, two guns, one rifle, and 11 pistols, along with ammunition. Each suspect has had charges filed against them, with investigations currently underway.
In conjunction with these efforts, a targeted campaign aimed at capturing proclaimed offenders and absconders resulted in the arrest of an additional four criminals. These actions align with the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who is spearheading a crackdown on criminal activities to maintain peace in the capital.
SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, emphasized the police force’s dedication to safeguarding the community’s well-being, asserting that no disruptive elements will be tolerated. The Islamabad Police are committed to prioritizing public safety and security.
Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious behavior to local authorities or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.” The police urge community cooperation to effectively combat crime.
